The Ways of Death and Life

Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

The Ways of Man

The ways of man and the ways of God are often in stark contradiction to each other. The way of man is to push ahead in life, and step over anyone in your way. The way of God is to humble oneself, that the LORD may exalt and prosper Him. The way of man is to get all you can and find a way to keep it. The way of God is to give, and it shall be given to you.

The Counsel of God

Psalm 1 says that the blessed man does not walk in the counsel, or wisdom, of the ungodly, but that he delights in the word of God, the counsel of God, and in that word he meditates day and night.

The ways of man look good and feel right very often, but the outcome of following those ways leads to death, or, that is, separation from God, and lack of blessing in one’s life.

The counsel of God, the way of God, the wisdom of God for life success is found in His word, and in pondering His word.

Walk in His Ways

Take time to search out the wisdom of God in His word today. Ponder His truth, receive His counsel for living. And then walk in that way that leads to blessing and prosperity.
