Like a Tree Planted

Psalm 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Blessed by God

This verse speaks of the blessed man or woman who refuses to conform to this world, and who meditates day and night in the word of God.

Like a Tree

The Bible says that he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, well-watered and strong, whose leaf does not wither through lack of moisture or through aging, and who is successful in everything they do, because the blessing of the LORD resides upon that person. This blessing comes to us through His word.

Meaning of Psalm 1

The meaning of this beautiful Psalm is clear. The key to the blessing of the LORD in one's life is the result of refusing to be conformed to the counsel and thinking of this world, and instead delighting day and night in the counsel of the LORD, which is the word of God. That man or woman shall be like a tree planted by the river, strong, prosperous, and healthy.
