The Blessing of the LORD

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Blessing From Heaven

There is a blessedness that operates in the lives of those who walk with the LORD. It manifests itself in many ways, including financially. The Bible says that the LORD gives power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant. This blessedness is referred to in the Scriptures as the blessing of the LORD.

The word “rich” in this verse is also defined as enriched or wealthy. The blessing of the LORD makes wealthy, and He adds no grievous labor and toil with it. In other words, He prospers His people in ways that are not laborious and overly difficult.

Our Obedience Brings Blessing

The blessing of the LORD is initiated by our obedience to give and to bless others. He blesses us so that we might be a blessing to others. When we bless the lives of others, whether financially or in some other way, the LORD makes sure that we take part in His blessing.

Find a way to bless someone today. It doesn’t have to be in a big way. Find a way to makes someone else’s life a little better. Give somebody some food, give someone a little money, go out of your way to help someone who needs it. And do it day by day. And you’ll find the blessing of the LORD beginning to work in your life in unexpected ways.
