Strengthened with All Might

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; (Colossians 1:11 KJV)

There are times when life's demands leave us feeling tired and discouraged. Our own strength has its limit, but God's strength never grows weak. He delights in supplying the power His children need for each new day.

Paul prayed that believers would be strengthened "according to his glorious power." This is not by human determination or willpower. It is by the enabling power of God working within us, giving us inner strength to remain strong through every difficulty.

Notice that God's strength operates by patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. He not only helps us endure difficult times, but He enables us to do it with confidence and hope. The Lord is trustworthy. His power sustains us until He has brought us through to the other side.

If you feel weak today, look to the Lord for renewed strength.They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. (Isaiah 40:31 KJV) Spend some time with Him. Receive His strength. He is able to sustain you, encourage you, and empower you to be confident and strong in every situation.
