Delight in His Presence

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
(Psalm 16:11 KJV)

Every person searches for joy. Many look for it in possessions, accomplishments, or favorable circumstances, only to discover that those things never fully satisfy. Lasting joy is found in a Person, not in possessions. David declared, "In thy presence is fulness of joy."

The Lord created us for fellowship with Himself. As we spend time in His presence through prayer, worship, and His Word, our hearts begin to experience the peace and joy that only He can give. His presence lifts our eyes above life's struggles and problems and reminds us of His unfailing goodness.

The fleeting joys of this world are temporary, but the joy that comes from knowing the Lord is lasting. It remains even during difficult seasons because it is rooted in God's unchanging character rather than our changing circumstances.

Make time today to draw near to the Lord. As you enjoy His presence, you will discover that the greatest joy in life is not found in what He gives, but in knowing Him.
