His Grace Is Sufficient

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
(2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV)

We naturally want God to remove every difficulty from our lives. Yet His answer is not to remove the trial, but to provide the grace we need to overcome it. His grace is never lacking, and it is always enough.

The Apostle Paul learned that God's strength is often seen most clearly when our own ability is at its lowest point. When we recognize our inability, we become aware of God's ability. Our weakness, our inability to fix things, becomes the very place where His power begins.

This does not mean we should seek weakness or difficulties. It means we can face them with confidence, knowing that God's grace will meet us there.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

While we're in this world we're going to face problems and adverse situations. It's the nature of the world. But Jesus said, Be happy; I have overcome the world. Whatever we're facing, Jesus has overcome it, and by His grace we will overcome it, too.

If you feel weak where your problems are concerned, don't become discouraged. Look to the Lord and receive the grace. His strength has never failed, and it will not fail you today.
