Trust in His Strength

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)

One of the greatest comforts in Scripture is knowing that God never asks us to face life's challenges alone. He promises His presence before He promises His help. "I am with thee." Those four words are enough to calm a troubled heart.

The Lord also promises to strengthen us. There will be times when our own abilities are not enough. We're just drained. Our wisdom, our endurance, and our courage can all reach their limits. But God's strength has no boundaries. He never gets tired. And He gladly supplies whatever we're lacking.

Multiple Promises

Notice how many promises are in this single verse. "I am with thee." "I will strengthen thee." "I will help thee." "I will uphold thee." God leaves no room for doubt about His willingness to help His children. He will help in whatever way we need.

If you feel weak today, do not become discouraged. Look to the Lord for the strength only He can provide. Wait upon Him. Let your strength be renewed. His power is more than sufficient for every need we face.
