The Lord My Light
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1 KJV)
Fear often grows in the darkness of uncertainty. We become anxious because we cannot see what the future may bring. David reminds us that the Lord Himself is our light. When God shines His light upon our path, we no longer have to walk in uncertainty.
The Lord is not only our light, but He is also our salvation and our strength. He is the One who delivers us in times of trouble and our source of strength when our own strength has grown weak. Whatever challenge stands before us is never greater than the God who lives within us and walks before us.
Whom shall I fear?
David asks two powerful questions: "Whom shall I fear?" and "Of whom shall I be afraid?" We can infer that the answer is no one. When we recognize and acknowledge that the Almighty One is our protector, fear loses its grip upon our hearts, and we can move ahead with confidence and boldness.
Whatever you may be facing today, remember that the Lord is always there with you. He never leaves us for a moment. Walk confidently in His light, reach out for His strength, and trust in His guidance for every step.
