The Mind of Christ

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV)

When we receive Christ as our Savior, something wonderful happens. God does more than forgive our sins. He begins changing the way we think. Through His Spirit and His Word, He teaches us to see life from His perspective instead of our own.

The mind of Christ is not simply greater knowledge. It is a new way of thinking that agrees with God's truth. Instead of allowing fear, doubt, or selfish desires to guide our decisions, we learn to think according to His promises, His wisdom, and His love.

This transformation does not happen overnight. As we spend time meditating upon God's Word and receiving truth from the Holy Spirit, our thoughts gradually become more like His thoughts.

Our minds are renewed and renovated. Old habits of thinking lose their influence, and the truth of God's Word becomes the absolute foundation for our lives. We build our house upon the solid rock of His truth.

Every day will present opportunities to choose which thoughts we will believe. We can continue according to the world's mindset, or we can allow God's Word to renew our thinking.

Ask the Lord today to help you think as He thinks. The more of His truth fills your mind, the more His life will be reflected through your mind, your words, your choices, and your actions.

The mind of Christ will begin to be activated in you.
