Ask, and It Shall Be Given

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
(Matthew 7:7 KJV)

Our heavenly Father delights in hearing the prayers of His people. Jesus encourages us to ask, to seek, and to knock with confidence. These words remind us that prayer is not a last resort. It is one of God's greatest privileges for every believer.

The Lord does not invite us to pray because He is unaware of our needs. The Bible tells us He already knows them. He invites us because every prayer is an act of faith in Him and strengthens our trust in His faithfulness as He answers them.

God answers our prayers according to His ways. Sometimes prayers take a little longer than we would like, especially if the prayer requires the obedience of someone else to bring it to pass. Sometimes they may require an act of obedience on our own part. But the Bible tells us that those who receive from God receive by faith and patience.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
(Hebrews 6:12 KJV)

Bring your requests to the Lord today with confidence. Listen for Him to give any instruction that may be needed. He hears every prayer that is based on His will, His promises, and He is faithful to respond as we wait upon Him with patience.
